Setting the standard

CTI owns and operates the iconic Terminal A at PortMiami – the terminal that’s become the benchmark not just for our own work, but for the cruise industry and development of other iconic terminals. Under our long-term concession agreement with PortMiami, we’ve shown what happens when you combine passion for design, operational excellence, customer service, continuous improvement and genuine innovation.

Since opening, over 2.1 million guests in 2024 alone have experienced what makes this terminal special, helping cement Miami’s role as the world’s cruise capital. Our 1,460-foot pier handles even the largest Icon class ships, proving that smart infrastructure investments create long-term value for everyone involved.

How we keep getting better

Our Miami team constantly monitors and fine-tunes everything—from passenger flow to wait times. This relentless focus on continuous improvement delivers guest satisfaction scores of 97/100, setting new standards for what cruise travel can be.

When passengers walk through our facilities, they experience smooth journeys from land to sea through thoughtful design focused on comfort and easy access. Engineers appreciate the integrated systems and operational approach, while cruise fans recognize our forward-thinking take on maritime travel and our team unwavering dedication to serve our cruise guests.

Leading on environmental impact

Shore power systems completed in August 2024 let Royal Caribbean ships turn off their engines while docked, cutting emissions by up to 98% – equivalent to taking 7,500 cars off the road each year. This goes beyond just meeting requirements; it shows how we build sustainability into operations that benefit cruise lines, passengers, and Miami itself.

Our team at Miami currently leads efforts to develop new ways to improve traffic flow at the entire port, demonstrating the ongoing innovation that defines how we manage assets.

“Our aim was to create an iconic destination and arrival experience for passengers, which provides a great experience from curbside to ship in an innovative and modern cruise terminal.”
