Building with the community
Barcelona’s port is getting a next-generation cruise facility through Terminal G. Construction started in April 2025, and our target date for operations commencement is scheduled for April 2027.
Our vision for this project will deliver a terminal which will welcome cruise guests with an iconic building, easily accessible transportation facilities and above all, with a strong sense of place that will integrate travellers and the city. It’s being woven into the environment and community, with sustainability and innovation that goes well beyond just moving passengers.
Connecting with the city
The terminal sits on Adossat Pier, covering about 14,000 square meters within a much larger 68,000-square-meter site. Rather than building another isolated port facility, we’re creating genuine connections between Barcelona’s urban life, its Mediterranean setting, and what the terminal needs to function brilliantly.
We’ve designed this as more than a transit point – it’s a vibrant public space that celebrates what makes Barcelona special. The building’s façade uses micro-perforated metal mesh that shifts and shimmers with Mediterranean light, while housing cutting-edge energy systems and renewable solutions that minimize environmental impact.
Making a difference
Terminal G highlights our approach to infrastructure that serves multiple purposes while taking environmental responsibility seriously. By connecting Barcelona’s maritime heritage with sustainable innovation, and contributions from local artists, we’re creating new standards for cruise facilities that genuinely benefit both visitors and residents.
